Try an experiment, first wash your hands with a commercially produced bar of soap, then wash your hands with my homemade soap.  My soap will leave your skin soft and supple. The oils used in my soap act as a humectant to attract moisture to your skin as well as traps the moisture that your body produces. The soap making process leaves in the natural glycerin produced.  I use the cold process soap making method.  Homemade natural soap also containts no chemicals and rinses clean leaving no residue behind.
